A Sunny Day in London-town!!!

CHEERS FROM THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA!!!!

Ok, so that is where I am living, but right now I am at the University of London, in the AIFS Dilke House using their computers - and Internet^-^ - to communicate with the US world.

So eventually Lisa and I made it to LAX....and then we met Allison - who is in our class...another casualty of booking the group flight and then the group flight changing.

The flight over here was amazing...it was 11 hours too long (for those who do not know, it is about 11 hours long) but I was able to take a nap (hella uncomfortable) and watch a few movies...and I have am now declaring I am now only going to take Virgin!! I love it...they not only feed you REAL food (Lisa and I had this Chicken Risotto with a salad, roll, chocolate mousse, and mini can of Virgin Cola) they give you an amenities kit (with socks, eye shake, pen, tooth brush, and paste).

We then went on to navigate the Tube to Gloucester Road...and after finally going the right direction...we made it to the house. After Lisa and I unpacked, we went met up with Allison and went in search of a Barkley's bank. After finding one...and threatening to MURDER it :P (long story...sort of) we went off to a little shop - the UK equivalent of a 7-11 - and got some food to hold us over for a few days and then headed back to our little flat on Collingham Gardens. Apparently we managed to snag a place in the rich part of London - where houses run about a million dollars!! I will have to take pictures and find a way to post them.

After having a wonderful breakfast of coco pops (shell: yes, THOSE!!), toast, and guava juice, lisa and I headed out to meet our group in front of the house and headed off towards the Tube. Yeah, apparently we will be taking the Tube during rush hour everyday...fun right?!

We then had a short class and then AIFS orientation...and we are now about to head out to what I had dubbed technology row to go and get a cellie phone and maybe a wifi stick so we can have some kind of Internet at the flat. Then off to the market to get a few necessities and then the grocery store to get some more real food. And...maybe, the Tower of London!!
